Hi,
We are currently using the unoptimized javascript menu for our website (www.itron.com), which works fine but the file size is quite big (>500K).  We have tried using optimized code version that Menu Builder creates, but it doesn't look right.  The optimized menu works just fine on the staging server (exact same code), but looks messed up on the live website.  Here is a link to the non-working optimized menu:
Bad Menu
Here is a link to the homepage, which is using the unoptimized code and works fine:
Itron Home

Anybody know what's going on?

Dear thrasher141,

How are you transfering the .js files to your server?
If you're using FTP make sure you transfer them in BINARY mode, otherwise the .js files will become corrupted.

Wow, that was the problem - it works now!
Thanks for the help, Xavier!

One question though: I searched the help file in Menu Builder and couldn't find anything about that.  Is the ftp binary issue listed somewhere?

hmmm... not really.
I actually thought this was no longer a problem as newer FTP clients are able to automatically detect the best method for transmitting a file based on its contents.
I even removed that information from the FAQ.
