How to position something under a vertical menu?, How do i put something under a vertical? Options

Hi all,

I'm working on a site where I have a vertical menu close to the top left corner.  The client has asked that I position an ad and a search feild directly under the menu.  When I do this my menu gets shifted over to the right over other page elements and doesn't show where it should be.

Would it be possible that you create a temporary folder in your web server and then implement the elements hat your client asked?
I would like to see how these elements affect the menus so I can recommend you some sort of solution.
