I was just wondering if SoftLED is still in development. I had noticed that there hasn't been an update for quite some time. Anyone Know?

Unfortunately I'm no longer working on SoftLeds 2.0 although I'm fully supporting the latest stable release (1.9)

That's a real shame, because I just moved it to my new Windows 7 machine, and although it runs fine once launched, upon bootup it displays the following error message:

Error 91 in line 110:
Object variable or With block variable not set in Form.frmMain.DoHide

... and the SoftLeds window will not exit automatically ... I have to do it manually each time.

Now I have a Windows tablet (with no LED lights at all), the softleds app would become useful again.

Come on Xavier - Softleds for Windows 8 - please? biggrin.gif

Yes, I guess that would be nice... but I'm waiting for Windows 8.1 to upgrade and, once I do, I'll consider updating (the now ancient) SolftLeds.

Well, Windows 8.1 is out and becoming popular. It would be great if you could consider an update to deliver Windows 7/8.1 support. I think 8.1 support would be particularly useful as there are an increasing number of tablets that have no HDD LEDs at all. Even my W8 laptop has the HDD light behind the screen ( huh.gif ). Perhaps a new market for SoftLEDs?

Fingers crossed.

Just so I know whether I should continue to hope - or whether I should abandon it, are you likely to look at support to Windows 8.1 for SoftLEDs? I'd be willing to buy it again. Thanks either way.

Hello gbrandwood,

I just tested SoftLeds (the current version from the web site) under Windows 8.1 and it appears to be working just fine.
Are you still receiving the error when you try to minimize it?
